The Men’s Club is a renewed and evolving group of guys doing good deeds for the synagogue.
Our main function is to meet every 2nd Sunday morning at the synagogue for breakfast and fellowship usually supplemented by a guest speaker. We support the synagogue in many ways such as ushering at high holidays, providing funds and food during holiday events for the children at the religious school, and we join the Sisterhood in certain shared activities. We sponsor a picnic every May for the Jewish community in a the three county area, and recently we subscribed to the World Wide Wrap, an annual tefillin minyan on the last Sunday in January that “don the leathers” along with all the other Men’s Clubs in the world.
Our recent affiliation with the National Federation of Jewish Men’s Club along with our association on the regional level provides us with many special friends, and resources to make our group function better and more actively aware of what other groups are doing that can benefit us too.
A pervasive air of cooperation in everything we do together makes any and all functions we are involved in so worthwhile that not only do we enjoy the success in the result but also as much in the process of performing the event. We encourage anyone that might be interested to join us at any of our monthly meetings just to see how much we enjoy each other and to be quickly included.
