JOIN OUR SHABBATON
The Kallah Weekend retreat to “Relax, Rejoice, ReJuvenate “ will be March 24-26, 2017. This is a weekend for all Congregational Beth Israel families from 0 to 100 years of age to attend.
Activities are optional: a ‘Less is More’ weekend, to encourage the Relax, Re-joice, ReJuvenate theme. And for those who wish more active play, planned activities may include a ropes course, rock climbing, a nature walk to a waterfall, softball, the resort fitness room, a campfire with marshmallows (as little or as much as you want) and Shabbat Services with discussions.
The Camp Ramah Darom (Kaplan Mitchell Retreat & Conference Center) is a first class, full-service, breathtaking retreat facility nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains about two hours from Greenville and features a full kosher kitchen.
What do we do at a Kallah / Shabbaton?
We begin by welcoming you and giving you a chance to settle in. Then we gather for a musical Kabba-lat Shabbat. Dinner is followed by an evening program and a special Oneg. Then it is schmooze and relax time after the kids go to bed.
All activities are optional though we hope you will attend services. So, plan to breathe, rest, play, walk, talk, sit on the porches, meditate, and ad-mire the lake and mountain scenery and share some wine and cheese with your community.
