Bar & Bat Mitzvah
“Impress them upon your children. Recite them when you stay at home and when you are away, when you lie down and when you get up.” (Deuteronomy 6:7)
Passing our values and traditions to our children is a religious imperative and at the core of the entire Jewish enterprise. Our Bar & Bat Mitzvah students receive the individualized attention necessary to prepare them for this important event in their lives.
Students are encouraged (and welcomed) to participate regularly in Shabbat evening and morning services in order to feel comfortable on the Bima (Leader’s platform); the confidence that they show has always been a source of pride for both their individual families and the larger Beth Israel family.
