About the Event
ALL are welcome (Reform, Conservative, Orthodox, unaffiliated, Jew-curious, and everyone in between) to join this exciting 18-week course. Inspire new traditions. Discover your community.
For more than 30 years, Miller Introduction to Judaism of the American Jewish University has been the nation’s leading center for welcoming those seeking to convert to Judaism, interfaith couples, and anyone wanting to learn more and find a home in the Jewish community.
Together we will explore such topics as basic Jewish literacy, history, tradition, denominational Judaism, the modern State of Israel, Jewish mysticism (Kabala), customs, ethics, culture, and wisdom in a setting where questions are more important than answers. Classes are interactive, relaxed, engaging and fun.
We will meet Tuesday evenings from 5:30 – 7:30 at Congregation Beth Israel.
Tuition (including books, course materials, and a host of online resources):
$180 for individuals/$270 for couples
$90 for current members of CBI
If you don’t have enough for tuition right now, don’t panic. Through the generosity of our supporters, we make sure that no one is ever turned away. Call Rabbi Marko to discuss options.
