About the Event
כְּבוֹד הַבְּרִיּוֹת or Kavod HaBriyot refers to the Jewish concept of “dignity.” It is the honor due to all of God’s creations. To support this ideal, we will be decorating our sacred space by uplifting the dignity of those less fortunate than ourselves.
This year our drive is to help the victims at Safe Harbor. Safe Harbor is an organization committed to providing services and programs to help victims of domestic violence and their children.
Starting now, we are collecting the following items that will be donated to the Safe Harbor organization.
• Ladies Pajamas- sizes small-plus ( the larger sizes are the ones we rarely get)
• Pajamas for older boys (ages 13-17)
• Jackets for girls, boys, and ladies- All sizes
• Shampoo & Conditioner
• Disposable Razors
• Rejuvenation Gift Bags
body scrub or face mask
nail care items
lotion
journal/pen
scented plug in (we can't use candles due to the fire hazard)
ear buds
• Medication (adults, children, and infants)
Cold/Flu (cough drops, cough syrup, Dayquil, Nyquil, Theraflu)
Pain reliever (Tylenol, Aleve, Motrin)
Please bring as much as you can to the office at synagogue so we can add them to our display. Clean out your closet, make a trip to Costco, or just add a few extra items to your cart each time you go to the supermarket.
